About Ladymount Pre-School

Here at Ladymount Pre-School, we invite children and their families to become part of a setting that cares about the ‘whole, unique child’. We support children in becoming confident, happy learners but also to be respectful of others, to be able to express themselves and their feelings in appropriate and kind ways and to celebrate differences. We want children to feel heard, understood and respected, as this supports their emotional wellbeing and helps them to feel secure.

Our Ethos

In our Pre-School, we seek to nurture each child’s individual strengths and aim to help all of our children to fulfill their true potential – academically, socially and emotionally. We are an inclusive and welcoming setting who support children’s development from wherever their starting point may be.

This is achieved by having a staff team who are caring, experienced, and professional and are dedicated to providing quality care and education to the children in our Pre-School ‘family’.

Our Environment

We are situated within Ladymount Primary School and although we are an independent setting, we are very much welcomed into the school community. We are invited to attend a lot of the school celebrations and we have fantastic links with Foundation 2 (Reception). This provides wonderful transition opportunities for children moving from Pre-School into the F2 class.

We have a large room with quiet spaces as well as lots of areas for children to investigate, play and explore. Our outdoor area is large and well equipped to provide children with exciting learning experiences in an outside environment.
